Glass Recycling Technology

Glass can be recycled many times over.Due to the large volume glass products occupy, transport costs are often high. This impediment to glass recycling can now be overcome by this on-site glass crushing technology which reduces the glass volume by 80%, thus reducing transport costs and saving valuable landfill space.

The compact, mobile glass crusher is a manually fed unit, processing up to 3000 bottles per hour, through a cleverly designed mechanism. The cullet falls into a sturdy plastic crate, which holds the equivalent of 90 glass bottles. The unit is manufactured from stainless steel and insulated to minimise noise.

Safety aspects include automatic switch off, when not being fed, and the operator cannot access the crushing mechanism.


Designed with high safety standards in mind,the operator feeds the glass items (bottles,jars, etc.) through the rubber protected shute.They are crushed by a rotary hammermill,screened and released, into a plastic crate at the base of the unit. The unit complies with the International CE Certification standards.
